TEACHING ARTISTS

ADINA DEROY-STOUFFER

(BA, University of Pittsburgh) is a native of Squirrel Hill. A silversmith specializing in wire jewelry, she is continuing her family tradition in the jewelry industry, design- ing and selling jewelry for the past ten years. Adina studied jewelry design in Italy as well as locally. She is a member of the Craftsmen's Guild of Pittsburgh, and is also an avid fiber artist and knitter. She sells her jewelry internationally online, as well as exhibits in local galleries.

RON DONOUGHE

studied at Indiana University of PA, The California College of Arts and Crafts, and with the Plein Air Painters of America. Ron has been painting the Western Pennsylvania landscape for over 25 years and has been a full time painter since 1991. He has had solo exhibitions in private and corporate collections including The Westmoreland Museum, The Southern Alleghenies Museums of Art, The Canton Museum of Art, and The Pittsburgh Center for the Arts. MICHAEL JOHNSEN

is a co-founder of the influential Orgone Cinema. He has been a consistent advocate for sincere and truly independent media culture since the late '80s. He has shown films and performed locally and internationally in backyards and museums. His current work concerns the design of electronic audio devices for live performance.

CHRIS MCGINNIS

(MFA University of Arizona; BFA, Indiana University of Pennsylvania) Chris was born in southwestern Pennsylvania and has exhibited both domestically and internationally. Chris studied abroad in both Italy and Croatia where he exhibited work on numerous occasions. His work has been published in the National Studio Visit Magazine, European Art Magazine, MFA Now, The Tucson Weekly, The Daily Wildcat as well as multiple university publications.

PAULA GARRICK KLEIN

(MAT, BFA, Rhode Island School of Design) exhibits paintings in oil, acrylic and pastel and original intaglio and monotype prints locally and regionally. She is known for her still life and portrait paintings as well as her etchings and monotypes that have autobio- graphical references. She is a member of Associated Artists of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Print Group and Pittsburgh Society of Artists. Click here to view her work

JOE KRASEAN

(BIS, University of Minnesota) grew up in suburban Minneapolis and began studying ceramics in high school. In Las Cruces, New Mexico he taught ceramics at Alma d'arte Charter High School and the Court Youth Center. Joe recently completed a two-year residency at Terra Incognito Studios and Gallery in Chicago, Illinois. His work has been widely exhibited nationally.

KRISTEN LETTS KOVAK

(MFA, Maryland Institute College of Art; BA, Mercyhurst College) has taught painting, drawing, and art theory for the past twelve years. Her artwork has been exhibited in museums and galleries throughout the east coast and mid-west. Most recently, she has had solo exhibitions at the Maryland Institute College of Art and the Arts Club of Washington as well as showing in a five-museum touring exhibition. DEBRA METENEY

(BS, Indiana University of Pennsylvania) has taught at the MAFA conference, Se- ton Hill University and for many years at Touchstone Center for Crafts. Deb's handwoven clothing has been juried in Convergence Fashion Shows and published in Handwoven Magazine and The Fiberarts Design Book Series. She is currently president of the Fiberarts Guild of Pittsburgh and her work has won awards locally and nationally.

TOM NORULAK

(BFA, Carnegie Mellon University) exhibits his work nationally and regionally including exhibitions at the Print Center in Philadelphia, Washington Printmakers Gallery, State Museum in Harrisburg, Dairy Barn Art Center in Athens, Ohio; Maryland Federation of Art in Annapolis and more.

STACI OFFUTT

(MFA, Parsons, The New School; BFA, West Virginia University) is a freelance artist/sculptor/painter who recently relocated to Pittsburgh from New York City. Over the past several years, she has shown her work at the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, Heidi Cho Gallery, and the Brooklyn Artist's Gym. Staci's work can be viewed at www.stacioffutt.com.

MEGHAN OLSON

(PBS, Portland State University; BA, University of Florida) is a nationally exhibiting printmaker. In addition to her work with PCA, Meghan teaches at the Carnegie Museum of Art and has ongoing curatorial and residency projects. Her works are created by highly repetitive applications of nearly 200 layers of pigments, powders, or ephemeral materials and often refer to the relationship between materials and process. SHARON WILSON WILCOX

BSE, Art Education, Northern Illinois University) exhibits painting and printmaking both locally and regionally including exhibitions at the Center For Emerging Visual Artists in Philadelphia, the Merrick Museum, Borelli-Edwards Gallery in Pittsburgh, Pitts- burgh Filmmakers and Pittsburgh Center for The Arts.

CYNTHIA YOUNG

(MFA University of Florida, MA, Indiana University of Pennylvania) has been a professional working in ceramics since 1994. She has exhibited across the US and in Japan and was one of four participants to represent the US in an International Workshop of Ceramics in Tokoname, Japan. In addition to the Center, Cynthia has taught at the University of Florida, Westminster College, the Mendocino Art Center and often assists at the Penland School of Craft near Asheville, North Carolina.
